My work is a reflection of the world around me...

After a long career in the corporate world, I embarked upon a journey to explore the world of artistic expression. I attended Kutztown University where I earned a B.A. in Fine Arts, learning the fundamentals of composition, color theory and painting techniques.

Currently I split my time between Hilton Head, South Carolina in the beautiful Low Country and the scenic mountains of eastern Pennsylvania.  Both regions offer magnificent scenery and inspiration.

I often create similar images in a variety of media to capture the uniqueness of each translation. I work primarily in watercolor and pastel and also enjoy working with pen and ink and Conte crayon.  I draw inspiration from masters like Homer and Sargent but also look to contemporary artists like Matthew Daub, Joseph Raffael and Mary Whyte for their inspirational vision and mastery of technique.

I was recently invited to join the PluffMuddArt gallery in Bluffton, SC. Learn more about PluffMudd gallery at www.pluffmuddart.com I enjoy participating in regional art exhibitions as well as providing commissioned art for clients.
